I've make more slouch hats out of this than I can count. Great stitch definition, great drape, & extremely soft. Plus so many beautiful colors to choose from! The only reason I give it 4 stars out of 5 is that it is incorrectly labeled a 'worsted' weight. It is not even a 'light worsted', it is a full on DK weight so buy accordingly.

This was a horribly disappointing yarn. I used two colors of it to knit a very special project that I wanted to be durable and last for years, only to have the yarn start to disintegrate, pill, shrink and shred when the completed project was washed on gentle/warm with a little Woolite and dried on low heat. It was turned into a partially felted, fuzzy, lumpy mess that was beyond salvaging. I will never use this yarn, or anything else from Cascade, again.

I make sweaters and mittens with this all the time. I have a drawer full of leftovers that I save for colourwork. The merino is not itchy. It washes easily. It's soft and warm. It's a good value.

Comments about Cascade Yarns 220 Superwash:

I made my first pair of mittens with 220 superwash, and have been pleased with the way the yarn has held up. There has been some slight pilling, but it's not an issue for me with mittens. I'm currently using it to knit sweaters for two of my grandchildren, one a toddler, and the other an infant. The yarn is easy to knit, and I imagine I will use it more often.

Comments about Cascade Yarns 220 Superwash:

I am using this for a baby blanket, but i sort of hate it--I thought I was getting a nice bright, sunny yellow, and it came as a dull gold. I was too anxious to get started to return it (so, my fault), and I know it's hard to represent colors, and particularly yellows--I tried to take a picture of the yarn and the color did not show almost at all! But I really was disappointed.
This seems like good yarn if you can be sure of the color.
