Barbara Abbey makes knitted lace easy! The author collected these patterns prior to 1915 and worked with them finding better ways to cast-on and invented a miter to improve the looks of a corner. What's more, she didn't like wordy text, so she came up with symbols and abbreviations to make the directions effortless.
