Cubics Knitting Needles
Knitter's Pride Cubics Interchangeable Circular Needle Tips
Knitter's Pride Cubics Interchangeable Circular Needle Tips have a cuboid shape in the body of the needle that gradually gives way to perfectly tapered birch wood points. The ergonomic shape is comfortable to hold, lessens the need to grip tightly, and yields uniform stitch formation. The densified, laminated wood is rich in appearance, yet it is also lightweight, strong, flexible, and warm to the touch. Needle size is measured diagonally and fits into standard needle sizer just like round needles. These 4.5" tips are a great addition to one of the other Knitter's Pride Interchangeable Circular Needle sets, or just pair with a Knitter's Pride cable set and start knitting. It's best to tighten your needles by holding the base. Click here to see how it's done.
WEBS cannot verify or guarantee that any other company’s needles or cords will work with Knitter’s Pride needles. But if you’ve purchased a Knitter’s Pride product from us, we guarantee the product 100% with our no-questions-asked replacement policy.

Please carry short interchangeable needles for use with 16" cord Arthritic hands can use them when other needles hurt. Even 90 Yr old's can still knit by using them .These are the best interchangeable sets I have ever used -= they stay put and the cubics are the best for wool and other yarns I knit items for charity and our goup of 17 have donated 800 + items so far this year - We know what works and this is it!

I have several sizes of Cubics and love them EXCEPT that two of my smallest sizes - the 4.0 and 4.5 mm - needles have snapped off. The 4.0 mm snapped off when I tightened it while the 4.5 mm snapped while I was actually knitting. Suddenly I was holding the wooden part of the needle. It had separated from the metal part. It seems to me that the join is not well glued and weak.
I am curious to know if others have found the same problem.

Pros
- DPNs great for fine yarns
- Good for lace
- Good for slippery yarns
- Helps with hand fatigue
Cons
- Can break easily
- Some joins are rough
Best Uses
I have tried some of these in the interchangeable tips, some double-pointeds and some permanent circulars. They all feel great to work with. The thinner ones are fragile; I had one size 6 tip break off (at the metal join) when a work-in-progress was in my bag - haven't contacted Webs yet for a replacement. Since then I have been careful when placing work in a bag or otherwise scrunching up my work. Overall I think the benefits outweigh the fragility as I still turn to these needles for many types of projects.
Pros
- BEAUTIFUL
- Ease of Use
- Ergonomic
- Good Fit
- Smooth
- Sturdy
- Warm
Cons
- Tip could be more tapered
Best Uses
- Lace
- Pure ease and enjoyment
I have been loving these needles and have not used my other interchangeables since receiving these! They are warm in winter, produce uniform stiches, are beautiful, and feel just right in my hands. I have small hands. (Much nicer than the VERY expensive lace nickel-plate ones) Even lace stiches are easy with the tapered points, though could be a bit sharper for my taste. I hope the quality stays high, and thank you for coming out with a deluxe set and a 4" set.
Pros
- Comfortable
Cons
- Breakage

Pros
- Flexible cable
- Good join
- Nice tip
- Smooth finish
Cons
- They're on backorder

I purchased one set of interchangable cubics to try. My knitting, especially stockinette stitch, was more even. Great! Now I won't have to use two different sized tips to stop rowing out, the bane of my knitting skills. I'm switching over to Cubics. I just wish Knitter's Pride would make these in a light wood for night-time knitting on dark wool.
Pros
- Ergonomic
Cons
- Need smaller sizes too
Best Uses
I'm a continental knitter, and sometimes have a bit of difference in my knit/purl sides with stockinette knitted flat. These really help make my stockinette much more even!
Would love to see smaller sizes, too. Use sizes 4 & 5 often!
I own five different sets of interchangeable needles, and these are in the top 2!
Pros
- Ease of Use
Cons
Best Uses
These are so great for arthritic fingers and hands...I can knit in comfort with these
These needles do not slip, but are still easy to use. They are the best with mohair. The sizing seems odd and you have to check your gauge, but a sensible knitter does that anyway. These have become my favorite needles, I just wish there were more options.
- Recommended:
- A variety of cord lengths
Pros
- Good connections
- Square
Cons
- No set
Best Uses
Love, love, love these new needles, but why is this the only one of the new lines without a set? Would have made the PERFECT Christmas gift!
Pros
- Feels Great
- Stays connected
Cons
- Need a whole set option
Best Uses
I used it for DK wool and switched around cables with no problems - I'd like to see a set offered so I can put it on my wish list!
Knit after working all day
