Wow, I loved this stuff it was so soft and smooth. Great drape and very soft, has the sheen of silk. Knits like silk too but its softer. Amazing that it's made from sugar. My only request to better it would be more color options not just pastels -jewel tones and darker tones please. Would also be intersting to see what this would be like blended with other fibers cotton or baby alpaca?

This might well be the most beautiful yarn you'll knit with. It's not only beautifully dyed, but it also works up into a lovely fabric with great stitch definition. Webs customer service was sweet enough -- no pun, of course -- to order the color of my dreams. You can indeed have your sweets and knit 'em, too.

I was curious about this new yarn and ordered a few hanks. I wound up ordering more after I started knitting, because it is SO soft and silky. I am working on a Feather & Fan scarf on size 6 needles in the Brown Tonal color (reminded me of raw sugar and brown sugar). It has a very nice drape to it - not stiff at all. It isn't tightly twisted (a bit spliity at times when lace knitting) so if you are planning on lace knitting - like what I am doing - then you should use a needle with a sharp point on it to do any YOs or knitting 2 or 3 sts together in the pattern. Otherwise with straight knitting you can use any needle you want to. It has a nice sheen to it - very, soft and very pretty the way the colors blend together (no pooling) in what you are knitting up - just stunning. And it's tons of fun having people guess what you are knitting with - sugar!
