I purchased this yarn because it was one of the only worsted yarns I could find in the color I wanted. The color is exactly what I expected from the picture. It knits up well, but there are some sections of yarn that are a little thicker than others. Although, it doesn't seem that you can see the differences after it's knitted. Also, maybe it's something with the way I knit, but the yarn twists as I'm working. I have to keep stopping to untwist. Luckily, I'm working on circular needs, so I can just hold the yarn ball in the air & let it unwind on its own. But, it's still a nuisance.

A family member has asked me to create a poncho for him to use as a gift. It's knitting up very nicely. The color is fantastic - just what he asked for. The project isn't complete, but I think it's going to be a hit!

Comments about Brown Sheep Lamb's Pride Worsted:

Excellent quality yarn. Doesn't shred, knits very true to gauge specified and in an order of 9 skeins I have yet to find one knot. The bulky version is probably better for hats, but the worsted weight is wonderful for anything. Wide selection of colors. Great yardage too, and a good price point. It is soft enough, but not super soft. Doesn't seem to be scratchy and the mohair gives it a little fuzz.

I love Lamb's Pride normally, and use it often for making felted items. The skeins in this order, from this company had several ends tied together in each skein which made them tangle. I have to wonder if these were not factory seconds.
