Nice soft yarn-beautiful hand, shows great stitch definition and available in many lovely colors. And like most of the Valley yarn line, very economically priced. I have only one gripe about this yarn. I found out by accident that it shrinks and will keep shrinking. And it felts too. I had a pair of socks go from a 11.5" long foot to a 7" long foot. I love this yarn for nice heavy cozy socks but will only use it AFTER I pre shrink the dickens out of it (boiling water-ice bath X5 shock) It's a great yarn but be careful washing the finished garment.

I was enjoying using this yarn but was working on a one piece sweater so there was a lot of flipping the sweater over and over as I knit and found that the yarn was piling making the sweater look shabby. I don't know if the dye has anything to do with it but I used the rosewood shade.

Used this yarn twice for two different everyday sweaters. Got guage, but when knitted did not maintain size or shape. Weight of knitting stretches garment badly

Comments about Valley Yarns Valley Superwash:
After garment was blocked it seemed like it stretched out way too much. I had the correct gauge as well. I had to purchase extra for the size sweater I made for my granddaughter.

Comments about Valley Yarns Valley Superwash:
I used the yarn to knit a sweater for my adult daughter -it was a birthday gift and she just loved it! It is Merino Wool but it was so soft that I could have used it for baby clothing. With the huge selection that WEBS offers, there will never be a need to shop for my yarn anywhere else!
I received my order within days of ordering - Thank you so much!

This yarn was so incredibly soft and so easy to crochet with. I loved the even dye, the ease of unraveling and the way my scarf turned out. It's also a very warm yarn so perfect for these types of projects.

Comments about Valley Yarns Valley Superwash:
All superwash yarn stretches; swatching plus wet blocking of the swatch is a must. This yarn has the hefty, squishy character that worsted should have. As one of the few affordable superwash worsteds available, I'd like to see a wider choice of colors as well as 100 gram skeins. With <100 yards per 50 gram skein, multiple joins are inevitable for virtually any item. I used this yarn for heavy socks and could not avoid a join in the foot, which I always try to avoid. Two 100 gram skeins would have been perfect.

Merchant response: Superwash yarn is best knit at a tight gauge to prevent stretching. It's very important to dry superwash yarns flat since they can stretch especially during blocking.
