I knit a hoodie for a six year old grandson. My husband was so pleased with the crisp look of the product that he has asked me to knit him a cardigan in the same yarn, which I have ordered.

            Comments about St-Denis Nordique:

This is a very good basic sport-weight yarn that I can see using again. It would work very well for color work given the extensive palette and the good structure. I agree with others that it did feel a bit scratchy, but washing took care of that issue.

            Comments about St-Denis Nordique:

I used this yarn to make a set of hat and mittens for a gift. The high-twist of the yarn made the cable pattern pop beautifully.
The yarn felt a little bit rough on the skein. It was also impossible to find the "center" end to knit from a center-wound ball.
After washing/blocking the yarn bloomed beautifully, becoming much softer, and the items bit larger.
The color was even, bright and saturated.
The recipient was very happy with the items.

Versatile, springy wool with a gorgeous palette

              By Anonymous

              Comments about St-Denis Nordique:

This yarn is a lovely and incredibly versatile wool. I have knit an entire sweater with it (men's, even), knit a small toy item, and swatched extensively with it. It performs beautifully at multiple gauges: a lovely lightweight fabric at 6 sts to the inch but also a beautiful fabric at 5.5 or even 5 to an inch w/o losing its body, and doubled will knit at aranweight. You can even knit it a bit tighter for superwarm mittens. It's soft with excellent elasticity and bounce. Stitch definition is excellent. Cables really pop. It blooms when washed but not so as to alter gauge noticeably, in my experience. The palette is gorgeous. The colors are designed to work with each other and you can put together some great combinations for colorwork, like stranded or fair isle patterns. This is a beautiful yarn and I look forward to working with it many more times, for just about any kind of project!
