Malabrigo Worsted
Hand Dyed incredible soft Merino wool. With the subtle variations in color and texture only hand dyed yarns have and all the sensuality of a good handspun yarn.
Malabrigo Worsted is a gorgeous, pure merino wool. Malabrigo is unbelievable - the colors are spectactular, the feel is incredibly soft. You won't believe how amazing Malabrigo is until you feel it!
Please note: Malabrigo Worsted is produced in dye lots of 10. Any order for more than 10 skeins will be of mixed dye lots.

I fully concur with all the previous reviewers, and just add a few lines here on the felting quality of this yarn. Knitting it, initially, you're struck by how soft and pleasant this yarn is, it's beautiful drape, and luxurious feel. I just happened to have this pattern for a felted hat, so I wanted to give it a go, to see if I can figure it out, and if this yarn works well for felting. It took a few rather aggressive rounds in the washer and dryer before the hat had shrunk to its intended size, but what a nice hat it is! The softness of the yarn carried beautifully through, and the colors blended well. There are easier yarns that felt much more willingly, I'm sure, but if you want to add softness and delightful hand-dyed colors to your project, this is where I'd start.

This yarn is incredibly soft but the pilling and shedding was excessive. I returned it after knitting the back of a sweater. This knitted piece almost appeared matted. I have seen pictures of the knitted garments in this wool and the amount of pilling was dramatic so this was not an isolated case. Best use is for felting

Comments about Malabrigo Worsted:
This yarn feels good to knit. Lovely weight! Also I love the color variations on the solids due to hand-dying. And it's a good value due to high yardage. I've now ordered several times for hats and gloves and scarves.

Comments about Malabrigo Worsted:
I like your yarn selections. Service and delivery were great!
But, I was told that malabrigo was an excellent yarn and I dislike it a lot! I'm a 59 yr old grandmother. I knitted those mittens a couple of weeks ago, and I only wear them into the car and back into the house. They look terrible from all the pilling.

The softness and high quality of Malabrigo yarn is unparalleled! I knit a lot of cabled sweaters as well as accompanying accessories. I hope your company ALWAYS carries MALABRIGO YARNS; or I will be disappointed. Thank you for your speedy delivery as well as for the quality of your product!!!

Comments about Malabrigo Worsted:
This yarn is a pleasure to work with! It's soft on the hands, and doesn't twist or knot as you work. The dyeing is gorgeous - I bought it in colorway Malambo -, with very little pooling or striping on the legwarmers I made with it. It knits up as a very dense, warm, squishy fabric with no itchiness at all (and I'm VERY sensitive to wool). It also can be frogged multiple times without developing any halo at all, the stitch definition is lovely, and it knits up very quickly. My only complaint would be that you have to watch carefully not to split the yarn as you knit, especially if you have very sharp needles. I highly recommend this yarn; Malabrigo is simply the best!

Comments about Malabrigo Worsted:
I have not used it yet, but I will be making either a shrug combining the 2 different reds and will probably have to order more and the hats that came with the pattern. Actually I never know what I will make until the last moment. In fact I am getting into tea cosies. So the yarn may go into that project.
