Nice soft yarn-beautiful hand, shows great stitch definition and available in many lovely colors. And like most of the Valley yarn line, very economically priced. I have only one gripe about this yarn. I found out by accident that it shrinks and will keep shrinking. And it felts too. I had a pair of socks go from a 11.5" long foot to a 7" long foot. I love this yarn for nice heavy cozy socks but will only use it AFTER I pre shrink the dickens out of it (boiling water-ice bath X5 shock) It's a great yarn but be careful washing the finished garment.

I was enjoying using this yarn but was working on a one piece sweater so there was a lot of flipping the sweater over and over as I knit and found that the yarn was piling making the sweater look shabby. I don't know if the dye has anything to do with it but I used the rosewood shade.

I first bought Crimson for a baby blanket. When I was finished it was so luxurious that I bought enough yarn for a full-sized afghan. I love the softness and that it is washable. It was also very smooth to knit with.

I've used Valley Superwash on 5 or 6 afghans plus a few sweaters, scarves, accessories. I've been through well over 100 skeins of this yarn & have yet to have a ball that had breaks, color variability, or other irritating defects. The resulting articles are soft & have been well received as gifts.

I have not quite finished the project but am very pleased with the wool. This is for a grandbaby so nothing but the best will do and this wool fits the project very well. I wonder how it will wash. I don't think that I will recommend the dryer.
