but it is nice yarn none the less. I will not pitch a fit and return it- though i got it for a BULKY project, I will use it elsewhere. The yarn is not scratchy, not really soft, just a good worsted weight well spun wool. And the colors are as pictured. In a yarn shop, I never would have paid the original 7.50 price for this quality/guage/yardage but the sale price is still a good buy for what it is.

I got 3 skeins, all of them are supposed to be bulky weight. The previous reviews are correct though, it's worsted weight, and one of my skeins is even labeled as WW with slightly higher yardage. The other 2 skeins labeled as bulky weight feel and look just like my WW skein. it feels nice, not really soft, but not scratchy either. the colors are beautiful and vibrant. Goldilocks is light lemony yellow.

This is a lovely yarn with great yardage. BUT the label is completely wrong! With #10 needles I got 4 stitches/inch, not 2-3...and I am normally a very loose knitter. 3.5-4 stitches would be the correct gauge, unless you WANT a very open fabric.

This yarn is 100% wol and is really soft much to my surprise! The price wasn't bad either for the yardage. I would buy this yarn again.
