I actually wrote one review already ("rough, but holds up well"), and I am back to say that after washing and wearing it has gotten nice and soft. Actually, I am going to knit a pair of socks for myself with it now!!

I bought this yarn to make socks for my husband who requested "thick" socks. When I got it I was dismayed at the roughness (although my fingers are none the worse for wear for using this....), and it bothered me to find soooo many bits of straw embedded in the yarn (plyed in). But it holds up well and seems to get softer with use and washes

This yarn is very hard to work with, and my hands were sore after knitting one evening with it. I would not recommend it.
