Heavy Worsted
Valley Yarns Everett Silk
A much loved but sadly departing line, once Everett is gone, it's gone! It's a 2/4 size, 70% silk/30% cotton tweedy type yarn that runs 1120 yards/lb. We sampled it at 8 epi and 10 epi and liked the results of both samples. Both samples were finished in the washer and dryer with a softener sheet added to the dryer. Think coat and jacket fabric as well as throws and other home deco items. We also knitted with Everett Silk on #9 needles for a gauge of 4 sts. = 1". Hand wash, cool water with a little softener in the rinse water and test your swatch for your projected use. Everett Silk is put up on approx. one pound cones.
