I LOVE 8/2 Cotton/Linen for making towels. It is strong on the loom, is easy to work with, and is a perfect weight for towels. I have had very little problem with breaking threads in the warp, though I have had a few. I've been using a towel cotton/linen towel for nearly 2 years - it is my workhouse dishtowel - and it's as thirsty now as the first time I used it.

I am disapointed in the high number of large and knotty slubs in the cone of black. I keep having to remove these pieces as I'm warping, which is wasting fiber, and a hassle. I think I've been spoiled by Maggi's Linen, which is also a cotton linen blend. Also, I was hoping for more of a linen-y feel to it - more body.

Chose this for my first woven tea towels - in waffle weave. Warped and wove really easily, and only found 1 or 2 knots during the whole project. Threw the finished towels in the washing machine & drier and waffled beautifully!

Have purchased a stash of this yarn in other colours - think it will be great for yardage for a summer top etc.

I purchased this yarn to make towels on my floor loom. Had never before warped except to do sectional warping. I am learning. I can hardly weave an inch without a broken warp thread. I guess I am too much into rag rugs to do towels

I have used this yarn for plain weave dishtowels and also some twill facecloths. Only one broken warp thread throughout all that weaving. It has a cottony hand despite being half linen, and makes for very thirsty towels that dry quickly. I am making more dishtowels with it, as we speak. I highly recommend it.

i machine knit this with other yarns for a heftier hand. Then I over dye the units. Great filler yarn and takes dyes well.

I knit this on a fine guage machine with a Fairisle border. It softens up a lot after washing. It also biased a bit. But still wearable. I'm planning on trying different stitches... ie: tuck, maybe a sideways knit slip stitch.

I just finished 4 dishtowels using a turned spots huck lace pattern (Bress, Pg. 436, II). The yarn wove beautifully (24 epi, 18 ppi unwashed) and the hand is wonderful. They are woven, washed, and hemmed. As they are a gift, they have not been used. I ordered 24 cones and sectionally warped the loom with no issues (first warp, 15 yards). I have had no warp breakage at all. I have enough yarn to make about 50-60 towels total (Christmas presents). I can not wait to weave myself a few towels.
