I have used this yarn for several projects over the years and am puzzled by the initial review. The knitted fabric does have a somewhat crisp hand, but the fibers are plenty soft and the colors remain true through many washings. I like this yarn for sweaters that are not worn next to the skin -- there are softer yarns for inner wear -- and especially for color work. This yarn can't be beat for a child's sweater knit in Fair Isle or Norwegian style patterns!

All time favorite yarn, it has stood the test of time. Colors are deep and remain vibrant for years. Machine wash on delicate only, using eucalan or similar. Lay flat to dry. Interchangeable with Heilo or any sport or dk. Yes the price is a bit high, but the quality can't be beat. This is the go-to yarn for me and a lot of my knitting friends.

Falk is a great yarn for all types of projects. I've used it for lace shawls, kids stuff, etc. The colors are quite vibrant and the yarn is very soft and has a lovely hand. Don't know what the other review means by using the remains for felting as this is a superwash wool that wears like iron and does not felt.

Not my cup of tea...daughter ordered for special hat project and disappointed with feel and workability. Not much stretch so I was fighting it and it was on the coarse side. Color not as represented and less vibrant than we had thought online. Perhaps a good yarn for felting which is what I will do with remains.
