Wash Carefully

I loved knitting with this cotton, and have made 2 shrugs. I'm planning on knitting more with it. However, DO NOT WASH THIS IN THE MACHINE!! Not even on gentle cycle in a mesh bag. The color will fade like it's been left in the sun for months and the texture changes...it almost gets "too soft". Note to self: don't leave handknits in laundry basket in case DH decides to help with daughter's laundry. At least I learned this does not like gentle cycle like my Rowan Handknit Cotton or Cascade Sierra.

I purchased this yarn in a local store and was THRILLED to see it half price on this site!! Vibrant colors and sublime textures! You'll fully enjoy this yarn.

The yarn is uneven, with thin and thick sections. Nevertheless, it's soft and the uneven thickness did not affect my project.

I have very sensitive, eczema prone skin and this is one of the yarns I keep coming back to when knitting scarves. If you are looking for crisp, clean and perfect, go elsewhere. This yarn quickly develops haze and relaxes like a pair of worn blue jeans that you'd live in 24/7 if you could. Soft, bohemian, down on its luck but wears well over the long term. Colors are muted, not vibrant, but lovely. Yarn varies from thick to thin and works best in very simple stitches.
