A washable merino wool product was recommended for a project. This product was the right blend and the price was very reasonable. Product knits and crochets easily. Holds its shape and presents well.

I like the price, colors and machine washability, but that's it. I've used a lot of acrylic-wool blends, and this is the worst one I have handled. It has a weird, acrylic-y shininess. Not soft. No stretch. Splits like all get-out, even when using blunt needles. Even tinking back stitch-by-stitch is tedious.

Given the (sale) price, I could probably look past all that, except there is absolutely no way this knits up at 22 sts = 4 inches on US 4 needles. I'm not a particularly tight knitter, and I got 25 sts. I would use bigger needles but I'd just end up with a hole-y see-through fabric, because this yarn does not bloom/full at all.

I purchased a different, supposedly "bulky" weight Ornaghi Filati yarn a few years ago that knit up like a worsted weight. I think their stated/recommended gauges are way off.

I mainly knit baby things, and found this yarn to be coarser than other dk merinos I've worked with. It also has been splitty for me...not terribly so, but again, more so than Debbie Bliss Rialto and Stylecraft Pure Luxury Merino. It doesn't hide uneven stitches well either, and isn't as springy as the above mentioned yarns. It's not a bad yarn, but I think you can find better, which might be important if you're knitting for someone with extra sensitive skin.
