Berroco Flicker
Berroco Flicker is a lofty blend of baby alpaca, acrylic, and a touch of sparkle. This soft yarn has a lovely variation in the colors and the sparkle adds that extra touch to make it special without going overboard. Flicker is perfect for both garments and accessories. Made in Peru.

I have used this yarn to design two patterns - for a scarf and for a hat. It is delightful to work with, though is sticky if you need to rip. I was amazed at how incredibly soft the finished products were while still having the wonderful sparkle. Most sparkly yarns are a little scratchy due to the glitz - not this one. One of my favorite yarns.

I purchased yarn to knit the Flicker Ruffled Scarf. Bought 6 skeins @ 189 yds ea. Project called for 5 skeins & I bought 1 extra. There were 3 to 4 breaks in 5 out of the 6 skeins. Due to 600 plus stitches in every row of ruffle, I could only knit 2 or 3 rows before the yarn was completely separated - not even attached. That along w/ occasional knotted spots, made this difficult to complete project. Loved the feel & sparkle of the Flicker yarn itself, but Berroco needs to correct this spinning problem.

The only problem I had was that the color of the yarn shown in the site picture is not the true color of the yarn in person. I have ordered three different colors & all are darker than the picture. Pretty colors but not what is represented.

I used it to knit a top down sweater for my daughter. It has full sleeves that are gathered at the wrist-and it drapes beautifully. The grey is slightly variegated and metallic is very subtle. Very happy with this yarn, now I want one for myself!

I purchased three skeins of this yarn to crochet a set of fingerless mitts, scarf, and hat for my stepdaughter. I absolutely love the way this is working up, and have not found any breaks in the yarn as I work with it...I'm nearly finished with two skeins.
