Comments about Classic Elite Yarns Silky Alpaca Lace Hand Paint:

This is gorgeous yarn and I have used it now for three projects. The red colorway bleeds color quite badly, the other colors I purchased are very pastel and don't run noticeably.

Service and delivery comments:

Promptly delivered in an appropriately protective package.

Beautiful soft yarn

By RAH

Pros

  • Beautiful colors
  • Dyed Evenly
  • Excellent Yardage
  • Good "carry Along"
  • Nice Texture
  • Soft

Cons

    Best Uses

    • Add Or Strengthen Color
    • Felting
    • Scarves

Comments about Classic Elite Yarns Silky Alpaca Lace Hand Paint:

I have used this yarn in several projects (hats, scarves, a sweater vest, others). Normally I use it together with another yarn (or even 2 other lace weight yarns) to emphasize a color in a varigated yarn or add dimension to a solid color yarn, but I have used a single strand of this yarn to make stripes alternated with stripes of a kid mohair/silk blend lace-weight to make a lightly felted shawl - so elegant and beautiful. This yarn is a joy to work with, very soft and warm with no itch, but is too fine for most projects, so works best as a carry along strand. I've never had a problem with knots or thin spots or any of the issues that are sometimes a problem. It is a very high quality yarn, and worth the price.

This yarn comes in a variety of beautiful colors. I have used it to make scarves and, after blocking, they have turned out beautifully.
I have a pattern for a stole in the Silky Alpaca Lace and can't wait to start it.

Hard to argue with "perfect" ... This yarn has it, knits up beautifully, doesn't itch, looks fantastic.... I made shawls with it... Only 460 yards to a skein so buy enough, tho I reordered it and the match was seamless...

Drapes very well. Feels wonderful. The variegated color is beautiful maroon to rust-like.
Friends love the color and think the shawl is beautiful even before finished.
