- Nice colors
- Soft
Cons
- Scratchy
Best Uses
- Shawl
Comments about Classic Elite Yarns Vail:
I made a shawl with Chestnut. It is very soft, but slightly scratchy when worn on my neck.
I like the feel of Slate and Adobe. They are soft and not as scratchy as Chestnut.
Slate is a very unique color. It looks like a medium dark grey indoors, but sometimes in light it looks brown/grey. It's beautiful.
(I put it by a window and thought it was my Camel colored skeins)
Beautiful yarn. I would love to work with it again.

The product is great if I can ever get the rest of the order. I've been waiting over a month for the blacks to come in so I can start my project.

Comments about Classic Elite Yarns Vail:
Even following the pattern to a 't', this knits up much smaller than the picture shows--that works ok with me because I like a narrower scarf but it would be a nice 'buyer beware'.

I knit legwarmers for my daughter who lives in Madison. She wanted something warm, soft, and fashionable. These should be toasty and luxurious without being bulky. I would use this yarn again and again!
Comments about Classic Elite Yarns Vail:
I am knitting a sweater in Vail. One half is complete. The drape for such a light weight is nice. Comments I have received on the project is that it is luxurious looking. Beautiful sheen. I am knitting with the charcoal color. I will comment on shedding and blocking once complete.
Pros

Cons
- Sheds quite a bit
- Slippery
- Splitty
Best Uses
- Light lacework only
Comments about Classic Elite Yarns Vail:
Bought three colors (tan 6346), brown (6438), blackish brown(6477) to test. I'm assuming the bamboo element gives these yarns it's translucent color - the stuff gleams, especially the darker colors. It feels very delicate, and it splits quite a bit, even on lace needles. But the feel is incredible. My only real concern is how sheddy it is - some long hair in it as well, for those with sensitivities. I'm hoping the wash/block might dampen that.
