Cocoknits Knotted Slippers
Knotted Slippers are a delicate little foot covering to help feet transition into spring. Try them in a luxurious fingering weight yarn for a special gift. This pattern is an elegant way to practice the Kitchener stitch, you will be an expert after a couple pairs!
Skills Needed: General knitting skills plus magic loop or using two circs; kitchener stitch.
Sizes: US women’s shoe size 5–6 (6.5–7.5, 8–9, 9.5–10.5, 11–12)
Suggested Yarns: 1 skein A Verb For Keeping Warm “Floating” (Alpaca, silk, cashmere, 100g/400yds), or 1 skein Malabrigo Sock (Superwash Merino, 3.5 oz/440 yds), or 1 skein Valley Yarns “Charlemont” (60% superwash merino, 20% silk, 20% polyamide, 100 gr/439 yds)
Note: Each of these skeins will yield a pair of slippers and two pair (four slippers) of the 6.5–7.5 size or smaller.
Needles:
* US 5 long circ for magic loop or two circs for circ knitting using two needles, or size needed to obtain gauge
* 4 st markers
* Small gauge circ needle for picking up sts (this is optional but helpful)
* US 5 or smaller dpn
* st holders
Gauge: 24 sts and 46 rows (23 ridges) = 4" sq in garter st using double strand yarn.
