      Comments about Fix-A-Stitch Lace:

I've been fixing my own mistakes and dropped stitches for years, but could see that having a crochet-like hook at both ends of a small needle would definitely speed up the process. While that's exactly what the Fix-A-Stitch is, it is poorly made -- I should say, CHEAPLY made, and causes nearly as much frustration as the mistake you're trying to fix. It is cheap plastic that has sharp edges, especially right at the hook ends where you already don't need any help splitting or snagging the yarn you're working with, but that's what the tool helps you do. :| If they would have made a completely smooth-ended tool - perhaps out of metal, I might have given it 4 stars and not felt so badly about paying so much for it. As it is, it is way over-priced and irritating to use. Nice concept, though. I'm going to try to see if I can modify a bamboo DPN to approximate small hooks at both ends and see if that will slide through yarn better. I wouldn't recommend this product, and won't be purchasing more of them.
