Increase & Decrease Workshop

Most knitted garments include the use of increasing and decreasing to change the shape of the fabric. Using different types of increases and decreases will cause different end results, and may enhance or deter from the final look.  In this class we’ll learn about “mirror” or “paired” increasing and decreasing, mitered corners, basic shaping at armholes and necklines, the characteristics of specific increases and decreases,  and how to decide which ones to use.  Participants will make small samples of the material covered in class.
