Substitution Simplified

It has happened to the best of us: you knit a gorgeous pair of silky socks with a pricey yarn and they won't stay up! Or maybe you finished your sweater, put it on, and it didn't fit, even though you checked your gauge beforehand! Learn why your gauge swatch lied to you and how to avoid it in the future. Topics covered in this class include yarn construction, what to expect from different fibers, swatching effectively, and when to use certain kinds of yarn. As an added bonus, the second session of this class will include time to match up that yarn you've had languishing in your stash with the perfect pattern.

Note: both sections meet together on 7/16.
