Lindsey Lindequist first learned to knit from her Memere when she was 8, but didn't really pick it up with vigor until she was in high school, and then... there was no stopping her! Her very first sweater project was a popcorn and cabled hoodie that her mother told her she would never be able to do. She still wears it proudly to this day. After graduating from Smith College with a Masters Degree in teaching, she happily discovered Montessori as an educational approach, not only teaching first, second and third grade at a public Montessori School in Springfield, MA, but also pursuing her second Masters in Montessori Education. It was during her first years of teaching Montessori that she discovered her passion for teaching fiber arts to children. Although she does not get to spend as much time as she'd like teaching fiber arts to young ones, it is still her passion and something she believes is a valuable part of education. When Lindsey is not teaching, she continues her own educational pursuits in knitting via the WEBS Expert Knitter Certification Program, and is often seen knitting various small items for her niece Samara.
