I used this yarn to make a pullover 3/4 sleeve top. It worked fine though my thumbs have suffered from cracking at the tips due to the coarseness of the yarn.

I loved knitting with this yarn. The result was amazing. I made a long tunic with short sleeves with only 4yarns.
I haven't found any cons. I will definitely use this yarn again

I used this for the house elf hat in the harry potter knitting magazine. I ordered only two skeins due to price, and worked it in with yarn I had. The finished hat is wonderful.

Comments about Spud & Chlo Fine:

I made a pair of socks with this yarn. Within two washings, the pattern was obscured by pilling and shedding. About 10 washings in, the socks wore holes in the instep (arch area) of both feet. I was incredibly disappointed with this yarn.

I would only recommend using it for an item that you do not plan on wearing, washing, or using. It would be great for a wall hanging. The socks looked great and the stitch definition was excellent until the socks were used.

Comments about Spud & Chlo Fine:

This isn't my favorite yarn, but I *have* purchased it more than once to use in baby blanket projects because I love the colors together. The yarn can be very splitty, and I have found that this varies from color to color (i.e. in both "batches" that I've purchased, the natural-colored yarn and lighter colored yarns were "splittier" than the darker ones. The first blanket I made was one where the squares were crocheted together as I went, but this second one that I'm doing is one where I'm seaming them all afterward with a yarn needle and I can give you the feedback that this yarn isn't very durable for seaming. After ~25-50 passes through the fabric, it is shredding or the plies are all separating and twisting back onto each other. It does machine wash beautifully. I'd recommend this for projects that don't get a lot of rough wear and tear-- After seeing its performance for seaming, I can't imagine using it for socks with much success (seems like they wouldn't be very durable), but I've never tried it.

Comments about Spud & Chlo Fine:

I've knit with many different sock yarns, but I have to say this is one of the most disappointing yarns I've ever used. Although knitting the socks went just fine, the end result had no elasticity and the socks stretched horribly. A trip through the washer and dryer to try to shrink them back up made them look ratty--like they'd been worn 1000 times instead of just once. Never again!
