Estonian Lace with Nancy Bush
Estonia has a lace tradition spanning nearly 200 years. Learn about the unique stitch patterns, creative shawl construction, and history of these lovely garments. This workshop will begin with students learning the techniques for knitting Estonian lace; making the main pattern with some unique stitches and adding several styles of edges including one with mitered corners. Students will have the skills to make several styles of shawls and scarves at the end of this workshop.

Date & Time: Friday & Saturday, March 12, 13, 10:00am - 5:00pm
Materials required:
• Yarn: 150 grams of baby or fingering weight wool (about 185 yards in 25 g.) in a light color, and a partial skein of DK or worsted weight cotton.
• Needles: Set of 5 US #3 (3.25mm) or US #4 (3.50mm) double point needles, same sizes in 16" circular needles,US #3 (3.25mm) or US #4 (3.50mm) 9" or 10" single point needles.
• At least 4 stitch markers - one unique from the others.
• G or H crochet hook
• Tapestry needle
• Magnetic board or highlighter tape
• Your knitting tool kit
• A cushion for your chair
