This two-day hands-on workshop will focus on the basic principles of machine knitting. Students will explore texture, color, pattern and materials while learning a variety of knitted structures and techniques. These may include Fair Isle patterning, stripes, hand manipulation of stitches, and short rowing. Students will be introduced to the functions of the knitting machine, machine maintenance, use of tools and troubleshooting techniques.
