I used this yarn to make a Pebble sweater vest for my son. I LOVE this yarn. It is so cuddly soft and lovely. It does kind of shed a bit because it is just so soft and fluffy (he was picking at the fibers that stick out) but he loves to touch it and feel it all over. It knit up smoothly and perfectly. I loved it so much I purchased several more skeins in all the different colors to add to my stash from the awesome closeout sale. Too bad it's being dicontinued, it's the yummiest yarn I've used so far.

Comments about Araucania Azapa:
I really like this yarn and was disappointed to learn it's been discontinued. It tends to grow a little when it's blocked but do a gauge swatch and this shouldn't be a problem. It has a lovely subtle sheen and a nice, soft drape after it's washed and blocked. I think it's great for quick gifts like hats and scarves.
Comments about Araucania Azapa:
I ordered this yarn to knit a sweater. The gauge is kind of funky, it really wants to knit up to about 14 stitches/22 rows, or 15/20 rows to get the drape that I like. Any more than that and I would have a very stiff and extremely warm garment -- which would be great if you knit icelandic type yoke sweaters. This yarn is soft, but also sturdy. It does not come apart as I knit, despite its softness. I have very sensitive skin, but live in a cold, damp climate, so this is a constant challenge. I gave it rating of 4 stars because not all of the colors are very appealing or consistent. Make sure you order the same dyelot. I ordered Natural and I love it, but the other colors seemed a little washed out, even for a naturally dyed yarn. I would order this yarn again for a drapey, chunky knit. The drape is very nice.
