I used the Terra Cotta color to knit the While Sangria sleeveless top by Baby Cocktails and I loved both the knitting process and the final product. The yarn knits evenly and the resulting fabric is heavy enough to provide good coverage in a top like this. I found one knot in the three skeins I used and noticed that it does sometimes knot itself if one doesn't monitor it. I would definitely use this yarn again.

I bought this yarn for a sweater but ended up using it on a shawl. It was very slippery and I had trouble winding it as the yarn kept falling off the ball in my hand. I tried using KnitPicks Acrylic needles for a little resistance but the yarn split terribly. I then tried KP's Harmony (wood) but still no luck. I then went with KP's nickel needles as these are the sharpest needles I have, and it was better but the yarn was so slippery that it was quite a challenge keeping the stitches on the needles. I finally gave up. I love the sheen the yarn has, and the weight is great, but I found it very difficult and frustrating to work with. Because the yarn definition was so good, it hid nothing and each split stich was so obvious. I was constantly going back and fixing split stitches I probably will not use this yarn, or maybe I'll use it in conjunction with another yarn for a bulky coverlet.

Berroco Weekend is my go-to worsted-weight yarn for gifts for people that might not pay strict attention to their laundry. It washes like a dream, and wears just as well. Great range of colors, and so affordable!

as you can see I don't have anything good to tell about this yarn. My daughter wanted cotton and not acrylic or wool
that's why I purchased it. I'm sorry I spent money and time on this. by the way I'm not a novice and knit constantly different projects and never had this experience.

        Comments about Berroco Weekend:

My only wish would be that the hanks be wound before they are sent to me. I had a difficult time winding into a ball and knotted the first hank. Other than that, I don't have any complaints. Love this yarn....

        Service and delivery comments:

Just wish the hanks could be wound before it's mailed to me.

          Comments about Berroco Weekend:

I knit a sweater for my grandson (2yr).

The sweater is not finished yet.

I have adapted a pattern by Louisa Harding.

The original pattern asked for Rowan wool cotton. This is a finer yarn.

          It will turn OK

At last a cotton I can knit with. I love cotton but have had a lot of problems with it in the past. This yarn is perfect. shows great stitches and is easy to work with. I am making a sweater and have breezed right through it. the price is right as well. I have compared it to the other new cottons with nylon and this still is the best. Don't be afraid to buy it. I can also see it being used for baby items.

Great yarn - I used this to crochet a baby blanket and it came out very expensive looking, neat and even (versus using only acrylic or wool yarn). I chose it because of its washability and softness, but it looks fabulous too!

Wow, at last a cotton blend that doesn't split like other products. I found this yarn easy to handle , makes great looking stitch's and is very soft. I have abandoned most patterns which call for cotton because my gauge was always off, it was heavy and constantly split. have big plans for future projects with this yarn

This yarn works great for summer vests that can go into the washer and dryer with no problem. Yarn doesn't have much memory so choose patterns accordingly.
