Comments about Frog Tree Picoboo:
My LYS started a C2Knit along. We each picked a C2Knit pattern. I have wanted to try the Frog Tree Yarn but didn't have a project in mind. This endeavor provided the opportunity. I chose the Cotton Bamboo blend. I did have to go up 2 needle sizes to get the gauge and fabric I wanted.
Painted Trillium only had half the yarn I needed. I purchased the natural because it will be a summer sweater. However the weight of the fabric will allow me to wear it year round with a long sleeve tee.
I purchased 3 or 4 skeins from Webs to go with my purchase from Painted Trillium. It is always a concern about lot numbers. If I do not look at the lot numbers, I cannot tell you which skein I purchased either vendor! A huge bonus in my book.
I would definitely recommend using this yarn.
It is slippery. But I am an addi turbo kinda gal. Others may want to use a slower needle, like the Hiya Hiya (swatched) or Chiagoo (swatched). Wood and Bamboo were to sticky for me. I even tried some of the square needles. A fellow knitter said he likes using the square for cotton. I found the square needles split my yarn more than cotton does normally and my gauge was very different.
The Bottom line asks if I would recommend this to a friend. I would recommend this yarn to any one. I like the feel. It is knitting nicely inspite of my inability to read and follow the pattern correctly.
