I just received Filigree and the color, at least from my computer monitor, is exact. It's so rich and seems to knit up nice subtle shifts and not stripes. I have never knit with such thin yarn before, but plan to use this on size US3 needles in a standard knit, not lace pattern. So far the swatch looks good. To give you an idea, the thickness of this yarn could be compared to embroidery floss. Word of warning - if you don't have a yarn winder, be prepared to spend 2 hours winding the hank into a ball.

I am so upset with this yarn... I purchased it in multiple colors to work up one large project. Most of the colors I ordered were fine, but the Esoteric is terrible. I have treated all colors the same, but the Esoteric insists on breaking over and over and over. Obviously after the second break I started handling it with kid gloves and still it is thinned so badly in areas that it breaks or I have to cut out the thinned area. I currently have over 25 joins in my project where the yarn has broken. I feel like they had to have know since I have already cut out 4 joins from the one skein. I have now spent 3 months of my time and almost $100 in yarn for a project with all these week spots. All I want is to be done with this project and never have to use this yarn again. Terribly upset with the waste of my time and money.

I love the look of this yarn and it's knitting up beautifully for a shawl I'm knitting for my mother to wear at my upcoming wedding.

I will say that it totally got tangled in the center-pull ball I wound in ways that defy my knowledge of physics, and that there were pills that developed as I was working with the yarn, but I think both of these things happen with any lace weight yarn and I don't knock the yarn for that. It's GORGEOUS!

Though thinner than expected, it worked well for the intended pattern. The leftover is excellent for working 2 yarns together in my current project.

I bought this for a very light weight beaded shawl. It so far is working up beautifully! The yarn is irresistibly soft and I find myself cuddling my work in progress. The lace weight is quite fine but sturdier than other laces I've worked with.
