I'm knitting my son a school jumper with this yarn. It's absolutely fine for this purpose; although I had envisaged something more 'wooly'. But this is superwash, and I suspect that might be the compromise one has to make with such yarns. Anyway, it knits quickly and fairly easily. Minor issues I have with it (and this might be due to my relative inexperience as a knitter) is that it splits fairly easily if I'm not paying attention to my knitting. The other thing is that it's incredibly dull to knit (I prefer more interesting yarns and colours; this is navy blue, pretty boring). Overall though it's pretty much spot on for a school jumper. It's yet to undergo a wear/wash test, so we'll see.

I used this in an "Old Forge" circular blanket/shawl and it was very nice. I liked the texture and the machine-washability factor.

I was destashing and needed a contrasting color to some very old merino superwash--this worked perfectly.

Comments about Plymouth Yarn Select Worsted Merino Superwash:
Soft superwash Merino wool, exactly what I was looking for!
Other superwash Merino wool can be squeaky and crunchy - that icky plastic-y feel. Not this one!
Lovely soft, pleasure to work with!
I can only recommend this yarn and have been back for more already.

Comments about Plymouth Yarn Select Worsted Merino Superwash:
I generally dislike machine washable wool, but I use it for items that require frequent laundering. I can predict that they will "grow" in length, so swatching is a must. However, an unknown is whether they will continue to stretch after the initial washing. I hand wash all of my own knits, so I very seldom use it for my own socks but do use it for gifts for others. This yarn works very well for warm winter socks, but there were two or three knots in each skein. Recommended with reservations, only because worsted-weight superwash yarn is hard to find.

Comments about Plymouth Yarn Select Worsted Merino Superwash:
Very nice yarn to work with; has the most beautiful stitch definition for cables, lace, and twisted stitches. The sheen is lovely, the colors are lovely. It's easy to work with, and washes well.
The only issue is that is does split a little bit if unraveled.

Comments about Plymouth Yarn Select Worsted Merino Superwash:
i used this yarn in a dark grey charcoal color to make a watch cap for a male friend who is very particular about what he wears. the yarn is smooth and easy to knit with. the knitting went fast as a result. the finished hat looks great after being worn often. it hasn't stretched out or pilled at all. he loves it and says it keeps his head very warm. i am so glad i chose this yarn and ordered more for a scarf and another hat.
