We think Ritratto is one of the prettiest yarns on the market. The mohair makes it slightly fuzzy, the metallic thread gives it a nice sparkle and layers of color make it a truly beautiful yarn. Ritratto also a great addition to handwoven projects! Made in Italy.

I double stranded this yarn to make an evening sweater and I am very pleased with the results. Doubled it knits to around 17/22rows. Stunning is a good word to describe this yarn. Knits very evenly, mistakes not fun b/c of the mohair content. Fiber has good memory, but not a lot of elasticity. There is a lot of shimmer to this yarn.

I've worked two projects from "Victorian Lace Today", a scarf in the Fuschia colorway and a shawl in Deep Purple. The results shimmer like stained glass windows.
