otherwise, the 'cedar forest' colorway is very pretty, and my 'february lady' sweater will be a pleasure to wear because of the cuddly softness.

although i have knitted with more frustrating yarns than this, i doubt i would use it again unless it came in at some ridiculously low price.

Used this for a shawlette. Had many compliments. The colors are very rich and deep. Garment weight was just right for those chilly occasions when you just need "a little something" on your shoulders.

Comments about Universal Yarn Classic Shades:

I made two pair of legwarmers. The needles often split the ply and the stitch needed to be fixed for good definition. Any re-do caused the yarn to fuzz. I loved the look and texture of the final product.

            Service and delivery comments:

The delivery was unbelievably fast. From desire to needles in no time.

Be wary of pictures--the yarn that arrived was so different from what was pictured. Very misleading and disappointing. The predominant colors weren't shown on the website. The shipping cost should have been refunded. Makes me hesitant to purchase any more yarn from Webs.

Comments about Universal Yarn Classic Shades:

This yarn is a lot like Red Heart Boutique Unforgettable. It is a loosely spun yarn that has lovely color runs and is a bit lighter weight than worsted. It isn't bad to knit with, but it is definitely a texture to get used to. I like that it's not hand-wash, and the color runs are interesting, but I wish there was a pure rainbow one. I was using this as a replacement for Bernat Mosaic, but it really is not that similar in weight or texture.

Comments about Universal Yarn Classic Shades:

I bought this specifically for fingerless mitts, which I have been giving as gifts. I unravel the skein to try and get as much of the same color pattern as I can on both mitts, as I knit two at once. This can mean undoing the entire ball and rewinding, but it's worth it if you want things to match as much as possible. I love the softness of this yarn, and the color range. It does tend to snag just a bit, but that could also be because I'm zooming along lickety-split. Otherwise, no problems at all.
