The PBT strand that is included for durability is undyed, so you have a silly little white strand which occasionally shows up in your knitting. Why this was left undyed is a mystery. This yarn also has a horrible habit of bunching up. It could be because of the the yarn being spun around the PBT strand. I've never had this happen before while knitting, so it is rather annoying. The yarn is rough, but it seems really durable. The colors are gorgeous and vibrant. My finished product looks great though. So in a nutshell, pretty yarn but a huge pain to knit with.

It's a fair product for the price, but not one I'd use again. This yarn is dyed in the yarn, NOT in the wool, so you have streaks of undyed yarn which peek through from the center of the yarn plies. It might not be so bad on lighter colorways, but on the meteorite (dark grey, blackk, and red), it really sticks out. The yarn is reasonably soft, though not soft enough for sensitive skin. It is relatively easy to work with. I had minor problems with splitting (which is normal for plied sock yarn with crochet!). I found a couple little bits of hay in the yarn, but not a lot. The colorway is gorgeous (minus the dyed-in-the-yarn complaint above), and the color pooling wasn't too bad. Overall, I'd recommend this only for socks being used in-boot (because of the dyeing issue), and for folks accustomed to slightly rough wool on their feet.

I just got my yarn order and picked up the coral reef Wisdom sock yarn to make a pair of socks. It is really snappy! The yarn feels good, knits up well and all in all I am very pleased with it. I think it has great bang for the buck and if I get all 5 colors knit up I will go back to purchase more, If there's any left of course....

I got this at my local yarn shop and was excited about the colors. I got the Meteorite and Fruit Trees. The pattern was unique and beautiful but the yarn kept bunching up. When I do ribbing on socks, the yarn usually bunches up but when I start to knit regularly it straightens out. This yarn never straightens out, it remains bunched up. Not fun.
