As far as I'm concerned bamboo is the best possible material for knitting: it holds the yarn in place yet the yarn moves easily when wanted. For an inexperienced knitter it's perfect.

Bamboo needles are a must for me when I knit. I love the feel of them and the way they grip the yarn. These needles are very reasonably priced, and really make your knitting so much more comfortable!

I bought these to knit with thick and very textured wool yarn, and was concerned that
knitting with such thick needles and such knobbly, bobbly yarn would be difficult. Not so! The yarn just glided over them, and the points were kind to my fingers when I had to knit stitches together to make loops.

These a good needles for travel when you don't want to risk losing or breaking more expensive needles. Work just fine with normal knitting but the points are not very good for lace work.
