The beret is knit with circular needles, sport weight yarn and has a double layer cuff. The hat with a brim is also knit circular with DK weight yarn and has earflaps attached when the hat is finished.

To Fit Head Measurements: 14-15" (16-18", 19-20")

Comments about Nancy Lindberg Baby Hats:
One of the patterns included in "Baby Hats" is for a girls Bonnet. I am going to eliminate the ear flaps and increase the brim and turn it into a sailor hat for my future grandchild whose father is in the Navy.
This pattern leaflet is written on very sturdy card stock and the directions are short and sweet. If you are new to knitting, I would not recommend it as a first project, but I would definitely put it on your list once you've learned how to use dp or circular needles.
