Dream in Color Classy
Dream in Color Classy is an incredibly soft worsted weight yarn. It is hand dyed by the great folks at Dream in Color in such a way that you will not get the usual "pooling" associated with hand dyed yarns. Dream in Color Classy is perfect for garments for babies to adults and great for accessories and blankets too! Made in the USA.
Please note: Each skein of Dream in Color Classy is unique. There are no dye lots and skeins may vary.

I bought 6 skeins of Blue Lagoon to make a Mondo Cable Cardi by Chic Knits. As with many super-wash yarns, the washed swatch did grow some so be sure to complete a full-sized swatch to obtain proper gauge. I alternated two skeins every other row, but the intensity of the dyes was so different between skeins that the sleeves are noticeably lighter. Knots were in three skeins, one of which had three knots. This is a particularly bad problem in a super-wash wool with a sweater knitted in one piece because it is difficult to splice the yarn and difficult to invisibly weave in the ends.
Any one of these issues alone might have been acceptable, but in a premium yarn, it is really unsatisfactory. I emailed the manufacturer, but never received a response. The sweater is soft and comfortable, and I hope I forget the process of knitting the yarn soon. The problems would be less noticeable in small projects or multi-colored projects. Lighter colors may bleed less.

Comments about Dream in Color Classy:
Bought this yarn to knit a Christmas Stocking. What a joy to work with, the texture is wonderful and the colors are beautiful. It seems to bounce back into shape nicely when stretched. Will buy this again and use to make mittens and/or hat!

Comments about Dream in Color Classy:
I'm using this yarn to knit Switchback (I believe I found it via Twist Collective) and it's knitting up beautifully. I ended up knitting 85% of the sweater, and accidentally (with a puppy's help) frogging the whole thing back to the first stitch. The yarn knit up the same the second time as it did the first! In a good way - no splitting, twisting, unraveling, or kinking. I love this yarn.

Comments about Dream in Color Classy:
I love this yarn especially for child and baby items. The colors are imaginitive and after a gentle trip through the washer the item is so incredibly soft.
One caution, the dark green came off on my hands as I knit. But then didn't get on the white I used with it when I washed it, so I can live with that.
It is one of my go-to yarns for gifts.

Comments about Dream in Color Classy:
This yarn is gorgeous. Rich colors, but looks like a kettle dye with very subtle variation. Washable, cushy, soft. Commenters remark that it feels like there's acrylic in it when you're knitting. It's true of most super wash that it really softens up after the first washing. I made a baby blanket in garter stitch as a gift, and it's incredibly lofty and warm, but soft enough for a baby. This is a real workhorse yarn, but with the additional interest of the fantastic dye treatment.
Comments about Dream in Color Classy:
I ordered six skeins for a project, all at one time. I noticed there was no Lot # on the skeins, but they all looked alike, so I proceeded. Three skeins into the project, I was appalled to discover that the other three skeins were noticeably lighter. There's really no way to disguise it. The best I could do is use the lighter color for the sleeves and call it a design choice -- but I'm really not happy. I will not order this yarn again. I agree with other reviewers that the yarn is very springy and not as soft as I expected -- but it's quite pleasant to work with.
