Comments about Elsebeth Lavold Calm Wool:
I made a cardigan out of this yarn (kiwi colorway), and I'm ridiculously pleased with it. The yarn itself is pleasant to knit with, and has an easy twist with lots of (surprisingly) soft long staple fibers. Unfortunately, there are also some camelid guard hairs present, which makes the resulting fabric somewhat scratchy. I also purchased some of the emerald colorway, which (upon casual inspection) does not have the guard hairs, meaning that the quality is a bit different between colorways. Overall, I've purchased a lot of this yarn, and am very pleased with how well it wears. The guard hair issue appears to be a problem in only some colorways.

It is not fun to have to use a clothes brush on chair and clothes after every knitting session!!! I am hopeful that by the time it is knit, the wool will have shed so much that it will not be too bad when wearing ;-) But as I wear a lot of black - I could be disappointed.

This yarn knits up wonderfully soft and lofty. As an added bonus the yardage is actually more than is printed on the label instead of 82 yards I think I got 112 yards!
