I used this yarn to weave a houndstooth scarf. It is soft and beautiful. Very reasonably priced for this quality.

Comments about Frog Tree Alpaca Sport:
I use this yarn for a FrogTree pullover sweater that I absolutely love!!
It's the Origami pullover. I tweak it a bit by making the pattern longer.
It's a classic!

Comments about Frog Tree Alpaca Sport:
I bought several brands of alpaca yarn this spring to work on hats and prefer Frog Tree--a great yarn! I ended up knitting a twisted rib stitch on the purl side, which had the potential to be a splitting nightmare but the Frog Tree stayed intact--no splitting. There were what looked like a few spit splices in the skeins but no knots and it was easy to splice the yarn when I needed to. There were no rough hairs or organic materialin the yarn and I liked the colors, though I still haven't found the true red I need for one project--the Frog Tree reds tend to skew towards orange. This is my new favorite yarn and I will be using it for all the sport-weight projects I can.

Comments about Frog Tree Alpaca Sport:
Knitting hats and making design decisions as I went along, I ended up knitting a stocking cap in twisted rib and twisting the purl stitches (not great planning on my part). The Frog Tree alpaca didn't split at all when knit in this rather extreme condition. I love the yarn--soft, strong, nice stitch definition.
