    Louet Euroflax Sport

Louet Euroflax Sport is a long line linen made out of flax-fiber. The yarn is double-boiled and steamed to give it a very soft and exceptional quality. Louet Euroflax Sport is great for home decor projects, but also fantastic for garments. Made in Belgium

I have finished the most beautiful garment-a suite for myself from Euroflax sport weight in french blue using #2 needles. I have heard from several people that it is difficult to knit due to yarn does not give. I did not have any problem with the yarn, and even if I had, the end product would have worth the difficulties. I knitted the skirt from the Interweave Knits, Spring 2007. The pattern name is "Indigo Ripples Skirt". I created the matching top myself. The look is so polished and almost etherial, it creates a "Wow!" effect wherever I go. I had even stranger man complimenting on my outfit! It is good enough to go to a classy dinner or a day wedding, and the linen feels so great in a summer! I am in love with the yarn. It took 6 scanes to create my suite, but it is worth every penny!

In Virginia, this is the perfect yarn for our hot, humid summers. Yes, it is stiff to knit with but, once it is washed and machine dried, it's soft and wonderful. I find it much cooler than cotton yarns.

I used this yarn to knit a summer skirt some years ago. It wears well, no stretching or sagging, washes well (cool water, gentle cycle). It's a little stiff to knit with (linen!) but wonderfully soft to wear. Highly recommend.

Wonderful luxurious yarn, and so many great colors! I had never knit with linen before and it took a couple of rows before I was used to it. Now I want to knit with it all of the time. This yarn is put-up and processed really well, I expected it to be stiff and scratchy, but it wasn't. Finished product has a lovely drape and softness after washing.

This yarn doesn't split, which makes it easy to knit with. I'm making a summer sweater, on larger needles, so it is knitting up very quickly and nicely.

              Service and delivery comments:

Great service from Webs, even better when I realized I hadn't ordered enough yarn and needed additional skeins in the same dye lot. Both packages were in my hands, and on my needles, in just a few days' time.

Living in a subtropical climate, linen is a wonderful fabric to wear. Euroflax gets better and better with each wash and I love all the tops I have made with it. It's expensive but the yardage is good and worth every penny. Lovely colours, too.

I used this yarn to make the Flying Buttress Tank by Andrea Rangel, and it was perfect. I had to get used to the linen - it's stiffer than wool, and not as springy. I like it (in terms of texture and drape) SO much better than cotton, so this is going to be my go-to for warm weather knits from now on. The finished garment is very soft and the drape is beautiful. I used the color ginger, which is a little darker (more brown) than in the photo, but is a beautiful, saturated warm light brown. The yarn lasted a lot longer than I expected (I used 4 out of the 6 skeins called for in the pattern) so I'm using the leftovers to make my mom a top, too.
