Here's a very affordable sock yarn which runs out of the skein in an extremely tasty and fun spumoni ice-cream color scheme. It is a quick yarn to knit, splits a bit, but to my liking the acrylic feel is unpleasant. The outcome are delightful, machine washable, and pretty socks, but I'm more keen on real fibers, and would pay a little extra for more of the feel of wool. The best surprise really was the color design I wish the company had the foresight of putting pictures of to their product and I'm sure this yarn would sell 'like hotcakes'.

For the price, I didn't expect much...and was very pleasantly surprised. If you want a thicker, washable sock that has nice patterning, this is a great buy. In our rainforest winter season we can change socks four or five times per day. I worked the toe and heel with a B hook and the body of the sock with a D hook. The resulting socks are soft, hold their shape, and launder beautifully.

I love this yarn. It knits up fast and produces beautifully striped/patterned socks, thick and wonderful. They are machine washable and dryable, a plus in our household. I used #4 double pointed needles, which was great for my arthritic hands which sometimes go into spasms when I use tiny ones. After knitting the first pair, I returned and bought 4 more skeins.
