Introduction to Spinning with a Drop Spindle
In this informative class we will cover drafting techniques, different fiber types and preparations, plying and some of the history of the drop spindle. Using a spindle is an economical way to learn hand spinning. Spindles are inexpensive to buy and also very easy to make. Once you have mastered the spindle you will have a great foundation for spinning on a spinning wheel.

Materials List:
• Drop spindle (suggested, Schacht 4" Hi-Lo Spindle)
• Niddy Noddy
• Ball winder (optional)
• 5-8 oz of a long-staple wool like Corriedale or BFL
• Please bring your lunch.

a great class for the novice spinner-highly recommended for those who want to learn how to spin on the spinning wheel. Instructor is patient and truly cares that her students not only learn the basics but have FUN while doing so. I can't recommend this class or instructor highly enough!
