I love this yarn for handwoven projects. It is fine, but warm. The silk gives the yarn a shine that brings any piece I weave to life.

Comments about Jaggerspun Zephyr:
This is the yarn recommended for the Victorian Snood I am knitting from Knitting Traditions, Fall, 2012. It has a wonderful hand. No knots, snags, or inconsistencies. The colour (ruby) is deep and gorgeous. Webs sells this by the ounce, which requires a little math, but makes getting the right quantity more exact.

Comments about Jaggerspun Zephyr:
I have used Jagerspun Zephyr before for weaving projects. It is soft and slightly fuzzy because of the wool content, but it does not stretch at all due to the silk content. Great for scarves and/or woven garment purposes, with a beautiful, subtle sheen.

Comments about Jaggerspun Zephyr:
Fine lace weight with a silky shine. Easy to knit. Also seen it used in weaving for light clothing and it looked very nice. Yarn itself is not very elastic but creates a flexible fabric with good drape. Less structure than some yarns. Rare, but slubs do happen in this yarn. Slubs are easily pulled off this yarn before knitting or weaving and not of much concern. Did not encounter any yarn breakages in my cones. Ordered my cones seperately (I had run out) and color matched exactly. I would buy this yarn again.

Comments about Jaggerspun Zephyr:
I used this as stripes in the warp along with some Cascade Alpaca Lace to weave a lightweight, drapey shawl. It adds a hint of shine and brightness, and was easy enough to work with. The finished shawl is soft and has a nice hand.
I used a sett of 12, to make it an open weave, and then fulled it. The Zephyr fulled at about the same rate as the alpaca. I did overdye the shawl once through, and the Zephyr did not take the dye as well as the alpaca, but it was the apalca I was primarily interested in dyeing, so that was fine.
I will be buying more!

I am using this for my beaded shawl. It tends to catch on my rough hands but is knitting up well.

Comments about Jaggerspun Zephyr:
I used this in a handwoven shawl. Warping with the yarns was a bit difficult in that it has "teeth" that attach themselves to one another. The warpping process was slow and a bit tedious but worked better having one person at the front of the loom and one person at the back of the loom during the warpping process. It wove beautifully and finished beautifully once it was hand washed and hung on a drying rack to dry. Steamed with an iron and the shawl was like butter! Soft and warm.
