    Noro Kureyon

Noro Kureyon is the original striping yarn. It is incredibly popular year after year and we can see why! Each skein of Noro Kureyon is a multitude of natural colors and no two projects will look exactly alike. This beautiful yarn is just waiting to be knit.  Made in Japan.

I used Noro Kureyon to make a throw for a birthday gift for my sister. The colors are vibrant and help create a patchwork effect. I love the way knitting with Noro surprises you...you can't really know what it will look like until it's finished and no two items will ever look the same.

I knitted a pair of mittens with this yarn. The first mitten worked out beautifully. When I looked at the second skein of yarn, they were the same color number and same dye lot but the colors were not the same. I really had to work to make both mittens look similar. I had to start and stop with different sections of yarn and still they are very noticeably different. It was a last minute purchase to make for my daughter for Christmas with no time to return the yarn. I was very disappointed. It suprised me that someone who put the yarn in the bag couldn't see the difference between the two skeins and try to find a better match.

    Comments about Noro Kureyon:

Had always wanted to try the Noro -- got a gift certificate for my yarn shop. and bought some. I used it for a scarf -- it knits in stripes, which was good to know. Scarves, fine -- other projects, maybe not. It knitted well -- but was overall a bit rough. I have been using a lot of merino, which is softer . . . I think scarves should be soft and cuddly . . .

But -- I certainly do plan to make some other projects with Noro Kureyon.

    Comments about Noro Kureyon:

I bought Kureyon for a sweater project. It knitted up on a 10 instead of a 9 so I had to make adjustments. But I love the dyed look which will add so much to my project. Now I am going to try some other Noro yarns!

    Comments about Noro Kureyon:

I love the rich saturated colours in unusual, wonderful combinations. The one thing I don't like is there are often knots that bring SUDDEN colour changes. Great for projects that capitalise on the long colour changes.

A little thicker yarn than I had hoped, but still used it for the pattern I had in mind. I loved the way the colors changed and it worked out very nicely. Will purchase it again at some point, but need to finish other projects first.

              Comments about Noro Kureyon:

I started making a cowl in a knit/purl pattern with a different yarn from another company. It turned out beautifully and I was out of town and went to the local yarn store to get more. They did not have that yarn but they carried this which was similar. I loved it. It was "rougher" in look (not feel) and i made the cowl slightly bigger than in the other more refined yarn. I find the cushiness and rough look so comforting for cold weather cowls. I use 2 different color ways and interchange them and they always work. The colors are all complimentary to each other! Can't stop making the cowls!!

I used this beautiful yarn to make a shoulder shawl for a friend. It's been a long cold winter and we old ladies need a little comfy warmth around our shoulders and neck. Wonderfully soft, easy, beautiful yarn. Working with Noro Kuryeon is a pleasure. I love ordering from WEBS. I don't have any shops close where I can get wool. Having so many choices is grand. Thanks to WEBS for keeping me knitting.
