this is a very light worsted, close to DK weight. I had to keep increasing needle size to get the gauge, unusual for me. I do love the softness of it.

This yarn is soft and even though it says hand wash, I did gentle cycle it in the machine with cold water. It came out beautiful!! I couldn't have been happier. My son was delighted with the sweater I made for him with it.

This was my first foray into using a wool/alpaca blend and I can certainly see what all the buzz is about. Berocco has provided a relatively inexpensive bit of luxury without sacrificing practicality. The yarn doesn't knit up as smoothly as pure wool does, but it does provide a nice halo, and a softer result for a comparable price. My only real complaint is that it does have a consistent tendency to shed.

This yarn is very nice. It's soft and easy to knit with. And once it's blocked, it becomes super soft! My mistake was not knitting a gauge swatch before making a sweater (I know! I'm so bad!)and it grew a TON when it got wet. So, I tossed it in the dryer when it was still damp and let it go on low for about 20 min. That shrunk it back up to size and made it extremely soft and fluffy, but it did felt a little. Overall, I'd recommend this yarn, just make sure to do a swatch!
