I love, love, love this yarn. It makes me happy. I've collected a number of colors and now have plenty to make lovely multi-colored afghans or scarves. Sometimes when a color is discontinued, WEBS will have it as a closeout which is a great time to stock up.
The DK weight is great for sweaters that aren't too bulky. It works up great in a lace pattern too.

I purchased a ball of this at my LYS to swatch before ordering. Glad I did. It's classified as a DK, and it looks like about a DK -- until you knit it up. It's very lightweight, with a loose twist, so it knits up more as a fingering. This yarn would be ideal for a floaty, lacy scarf, but I wouldn't recommend it for a cozy sweater. That said, it's pretty, has a good hand, and the texture is just the teeniest bit pebbly. It knits up very evenly.

Comments about Elsebeth Lavold Silky Wool:
I was a bit surprised with the feel of this yarn, it is crispier than I expected from a wool and silk blend. It also has a tweedy look that I did not pick up on my monitor. I also used smaller needles and got a finer guage than specified on the ball band. However, I am almost finished assembling my sweater and it is turning out lovely. At about 6 sts to the inch the weight is perfect for the spring. The cables are not as well defined as with a solid colour but I love the look and the sweater has a nice fluid feel to it. I would recommend this to anyone who want to make a classy, woman's garment.

Comments about Elsebeth Lavold Silky Wool:
My fingers got sore knitting with this yarn and it had vegetable matter in it. I loved the color and how light it felt. It is more of a fingering weight yarn than a DK.

Comments about Elsebeth Lavold Silky Wool:
I've been knitting for nearly nine years, and this is my favorite yarn to work with so far. It has a fun texture without shedding. It's lightweight and excellent for large projects you don't want weighed down. I've made a sweater already and now I'm three quarters of the way into a sweater dress, and I've had no issues with it.

Comments about Elsebeth Lavold Silky Wool:
This is my absolute favorite yarn! I have knit several things with it from sweaters to scarves and they all come out great. I love the drape and feel of the yarn. You can use it with any Berroco pattern calling for Origami. I like it better than Origami and it is half the price.

Comments about Elsebeth Lavold Silky Wool:
I appreciate yarns that behave as you roll the balls. I don't like to wrassle with my yarns. This yarn is beautifully skeined, which always makes me think the yarnmakers were experienced and cared about their product.
The feel while knitting is restful, soft, easy to manage.

Comments about Elsebeth Lavold Silky Wool:
I was somewhat disappointed with the softness of the product. I am making a sweater with it for my daughter. One of the problems with purchasing online is that you have to take the word of the editors when they say it is soft. I didn't find this to be as soft as I expected. That said, the color is true to what I expected, and it is very easy to work with, once I got it rolled. The first hank I worked with was tangled and it took me most of a day to get it rolled into a ball.
