Comments about Colonial Needle Company Rosewood 16" Circular Needles:
I'm really sad that I don't like these needles more. I bought these $$ needles as a treat for myself, but they fall short of what I thought they'd be like. For starters, the wood part of the needle is very long for 16" and it's difficult to cast on for a small hat (I routinely do 72 stitches on similar needles). The cord is VERY thick and makes it near impossible to slide the yarn easily when trying to knit the first row. I gave up and cast on with a metal pair and then transferred the stitches onto these. I finally got everything working, but the tip of the needle is very sharp and jabbed me through out the project. I will say they are very pretty needles - I just wish they worked a little better!
