Classic Elite Yarns Magnolia

A beautiful blend of merino and silk, Classic Elite Magnolia has a slightly heathered appearance because the two fibers take the dye differently. The gentle sheen really makes your stitch patterns pop.  Made in Italy.

Great Yarn

I purchased this yarn to make a shawl since this is the yarn the designer used. It turned out beautifully. Nice stitch definition, great color selection.

I bought this yarn to knit a shawl. It has a light sheen due to the silk content, and suits 'next to skin' wear as it is very soft. I was disappointed with the intermittent lumps, (which may be loose splices?). The shawl I am knitting has a large stockinet section and the thicker spots of yarn caused by the splices are a little obvious. I would use this yarn again, but not in smooth garments.

Comments about Classic Elite Yarns Magnolia:

Making a lace pattern shawl. Love the color and slight sheen. Yarn is impressively soft and has almost a haze effect. May disappear after blocking. This yarn is slightly slippery on Addi turbos, which is good for the experienced knitter. Novices may want to use wooden needles.

Comments about Classic Elite Yarns Magnolia:

The yarn had a good discountable price. But, the yarn lacked tight twists in some spots or had knots. If I wasn't so lazy, I should have cut out these imperfections.

Comments about Classic Elite Yarns Magnolia:

I love this yarn for it's sheen, softness and handspun look. It did have a few areas that were too loosely spun and the warp threads tended to fuzz. However, the end product, scarves, were marvelous and I would purchase again. It's probably not really meant to be a warp yarn, but it can work as such with a little patience and care.
