Universal Yarn Bamboo Bloom Handpaints

Universal Yarns Bamboo Bloom Handpaints is a fun thick & thin yarn with great colors to choose from. The thin strands of bamboo rayon give this yarn a touch of shine. Made in Turkey.

Great product to work with. Beautiful colors, nice consistency and fluffiness expect if you wash it several times (even if in cold water, flat dry).

I ordered this in two colors to knit mobeiouses, and it will work for them, however, I wouldn't recommend it for sweaters or anything that needs to hold its shape. Great color blends. The very soft, thick sections tend to fray, handle them very gently.

Comments about Universal Yarn Bamboo Bloom Handpaints:

I have made a number of infinity scarves out of different colors. I cast on 100 stitches on big circular needles and knit the thin and purled the thick parts of the yarn. Each is unique and make a nice neck warmer during the cold weather. Every once in a while I had to fudge a bit so that the thick lumps were not concentrated in the same place row after row which took a little more work, but a solution that worked for me.

Fabulous Yarn for a Quick Gift

Comments about Universal Yarn Bamboo Bloom Handpaints:

I used the yarn to make the Uninterrupted Cowl pattern which can be found on Ravelry. Whatever pattern you pick, I would keep it simple and let the yarn do all the work.

One Skein had a separation of yarn in the middle of the skein, but it was easy enough to get back on track with minimal disturbance to the knitting.

Comments about Universal Yarn Bamboo Bloom Handpaints:

I've made several amazing scarves from this gorgeous yarn, two shawls, and am currently making a 60" cowl. I guess it's obvious that I adore this yarn.
If you up the needle size from the recommended #9 to a #10 or 10.5, the incredible softness will be apparent. On a #9 needle, the thin rayon becomes stiff, and the fluffy wool sections are choked.

Comments about Universal Yarn Bamboo Bloom Handpaints:

It'a a very beautiful yarn. I have knitted a shawlette in a couple of hours; it is just the right thing to stave off cold air conditioning. It would be nice to see more patterns besides shawlettes and cowls.
